About Us
The Buckridge Community Association was founded in 2014 by a group of community members dedicated to promoting community and creating a space for community members to gather.
Since 2014 we have hosted many community events and have focused our efforts on improving the current community grounds.
What We Do
- Since 2014 we have continued to advance the community grounds. An old broken riding arena was torn down, the grounds have been cleaned up, and a power shed and picnic shelter have been built.
- Our plans for the future include continuing to advance the community grounds with grants, fundraisers and community workbees.
- We host community events throughout the year. Events like an annual Easter egg hunt, Canada Day celebration and more. See our event page for more information.
Why We Do It
As a rural community it is important that we have a space to gather. Historically the Buckridge Hall was a pillar of the community. The Buckridge Dances of the past, hosted in the hall still are talked about by many of our long standing community members.
When our local school was closed, it became even more important to preserve a gathering space for our community.
